FAQ's

How are applications processed?

Your information is kept strictly confidential.  Verifications are not conducted until after the tour.  Applications are reviewed in the order received and prioritized by strength of employment and rental histories.

Can I check the status of my application?

You will receive an email acknowledgment that it was received.  Due to the high volume of applications, we are unable to provide updates.

When will my tour be scheduled?

A very limited number of tours are scheduled.  Should you receive an invitation, please respond promptly because it will expire in 24 hours so another applicant can be offered that time slot.

What happens if I’m late for my tour or have to cancel?

You can request to reschedule at least 12 hours in advance.  If you do not reschedule in time or do not attend you will not be given another opportunity.  Tour schedules are tight.  If you are late your tour may be shortened or canceled to accommodate those who are prompt.

What should I expect during the tour?

Arrive on time.  Unless we ask to meet your pet, all animals are prohibited except ADA service dogs.  Only prospective household occupants may attend.  If you wish to bring an additional person who has not completed an application let us know the name in advance.  Adults are required to present photo ID to enter.  You are welcome to take measurements, photos, and ask questions about our policies.  We encourage this before you make a decision.

Will you check my credit score?

Credit checks reduce your score.  We do not believe that is fair when applying for housing.

What if I filed for bankruptcy?

It may not negate your application.  Situations vary, and we are open to understanding the circumstance.

What about a criminal record?

This is also dependent upon particulars.  People make mistakes and we are open to understanding the circumstance.

How long does it take to complete background verification?

That depends on how responsive your contacts are, usually a few days.

My significant other might move in with me later.  How does that work?

The individual must complete an application, pass a background check, and provide a one month security deposit as you did.  If successful, a new lease would be issued in both names.  Note that being held jointly and severally means one or both of you will be held liable for the full term of the lease.
